Discovery classes at the Hotel Exsel Alamanda

Exsel Hotels welcomes discovery classes from 2nd grade to high school. Initiated by Cécile Fillon, our CSR manager, we have created a comprehensive action program in collaboration with local associations and institutions to develop turnkey educational programs for teachers who wish to work on various educational and environmental aspects.

The aim of these classes is to allow students to immerse themselves in the nature of La Réunion, understand environmental issues, and develop ecological awareness, while having fun and learning interactively and practically.

We offer four main themes: the sea, wildlife and plant life, sustainable development, and sports and nature.

Marine Environment
Students discover the diversity of La Réunion’s marine ecosystems by exploring coral reefs and participating in turtle protection programs. Educational visits to aquariums and awareness-raising activities motivate them to understand the importance of marine conservation and become active defenders of marine biodiversity.

Wildlife and Plant Life
Through visits to botanical gardens and plant workshops, students explore terrestrial biodiversity, learn to recognize and preserve local plant species, and understand the interactions between different animal species. In this way, they develop a deep respect for the unique nature of the island.

Sustainable Development
Students participate in workshops on waste sorting, recycling, and furniture making, and visit educational farms to raise awareness of responsible consumption.

Sports and Nature
For a playful approach, students participate in activities such as canyoning, rafting, and hiking, combining physical exercise with the exploration of La Réunion’s natural surroundings.
