Discovery classes at the Exsel Alamanda hotel
Exsel Hôtels hosts discovery classes, from CE1 to high school. At the initiative of Cécile Fillon, our CSR Manager, we have created a complete action program, in partnership with associations and local local structures to set up “turnkey” educational programs for teachers who like work on several educational and environmental aspects.
The objective of these classes is to allow students to immerse themselves in Reunion’s nature, understand environmental issues and develop ecological awareness while having fun and learning in an interactive and practical way.
We offer four main themes which are: the marine environment, fauna and flora, sustainable development, sport and nature.
Marine environment
Students discover the richness of the marine ecosystems of Reunion Island by exploring coral reefs and participating in sea turtle protection programs. Educational aquarium tours and awareness activities inspire them to understand the importance of ocean conservation and become active advocates for marine biodiversity.
The fauna and the flora
Through visits to botanical gardens and planting workshops, students explore terrestrial biodiversity, learn to recognize and preserve local plant species and understand the interactions between different animal species, thus developing a deep respect for unique nature from the island.
Sustainable development
Students participate in sorting, recycling and furniture manufacturing workshops, and visit educational farms to raise awareness of responsible consumption.
Sport and nature
For a fun side, students practice activities such as canyoning, rafting and hiking, combining physical exercise and discovery of the natural environment of Reunion Island.
